inside a small brown paper lunch bag. On an index card, describe the object using three

GROUNDHOG’S DAY
Groundhog's Day, I looked around,
Saw my shadow on the ground
Yes I saw my shadow,
When I took a peek
That means winter 6 more weeks!
LITTLE GEORGIE GROUNDHOG
Way deep down
In a hole in the ground
Lived little Georgie Groundhog
All furry and round.
Little Georgie Groundhog
Popped up one day,
He looked around and decided to stay.
But just as Little Georgie
Started to play
Out popped his shadow
And frightened him away.
Back down his hole Little Georgie sped
Back to his home
Back to his bed!
LITTLE GROUNDHOG
Little groundhog down below,
Underneath the wintry snow.
Come on out and tell us true...
Is Spring coming?
Is Winter through?
I’M A LITTLE GROUNDHOG
I'm a little groundhog, furry and brown,
See me pop while I look around,
If I see my shadow, down I'll go
Six more weeks of winter, oh no!
MR. GROUNDHOG
Mr. Groundhog, Mr. Groundhog,
Take a peek, Take a peek.
If you see your shadow
The weather will be awful
For six more weeks, six more weeks.
PRESIDENTS’ DAY
Lincoln and Washington
They are remembered on
Presidents' Day.
Two men in history
Who gave us liberty.
Honor their memories
On this great day.
GEORGE WASHINGTON
One time there was a little boy
Who had a little hatchet
He looked and looked around
To find a little tree to catch it
At last he spied a cherry tree
His father’s pride and joy
He chopped it down,
Right to the ground
My! What a naughty boy!
ABRAHAM LINCOLN
President Lincoln is a favorite
president
He is honored and loved by
many
So we do not forget him
We put his face on our penny
OUR PRESIDENTS
Our presidents, our presidents,
We honor them today.
Our presidents, our presidents,
We honor them today.
Remembering presidents of
the past,
And honoring him who serves
today.
Our presidents, our presidents,
We honor them today.
