Dear Parents, January 2016 Here is our schedule for the next couple of weeks of show and tell. Please keep this paper for future reference. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. Mrs. Heeney January 11 – 15 Mystery Object. Please have your student bring in a small object hidden inside a small brown paper lunch bag. On an index card, describe the object using three clues. When your child presents their show and tell we will try to guess what he/she brought. January 18 – 22 We will be reading a story about moving to a new place. Bring in a picture of a place you would like to visit or move to some day. You may look through magazines, the internet or illustrate a picture to share. Be prepared to tell us why you chose the place in your picture. Monday students may show theirs on Tuesday. January 25 – January 29 – Space Unit – Please have your student bring in something that has to do with space and astronomy. February 1 – February 5 – Please have your student rehearse a GROUNDHOG poem on the reverse side of this sheet to recite to the class as their show and tell. Please have your student bring in something that reminds them of the winter season. February 8 – 12 Please have your student bring in something that reminds them of the winter season. February 15 – 19 Please have your student rehearse a PRESIDENT poem on the reverse side of this sheet to recite to the class as their show and tell. Monday students may recite theirs on Tuesday. February 22 – 26 Please allow your student to bring in a “free choice” item. This means your child may chose whatever they would like to bring in. But just as Little Georgie Started to play Out popped his shadow And frightened him away. Back down his hole Little Georgie sped Back to his home Back to his bed!
