Character Analysis:-Romeo and Juliet Yunji Lee 9F Juliet, who had most tragedy and bravest love, is from Romeo and Juliet. She had really unbelievable amazing love during that century. Not only waits for her lover Romeo, instead she made plans and execute that plans with Friar. Juliet caught the attention of the entire story with her impressive behavior at Romeo and Juliet, falling love to someone and quickly growing up. Even people think this love was doubtful, Juliet has no regrets. It was her first and last love, almost the entire story told us about Juliet’s bravest love. In the movie, Juliet looks gorgeous, very elegant lady. She is the daughter of the Lord and Lady Capulet. When the play begins, Shakespeare reminds to readers, Juliet is about weeks away from fourteenth birthday. Also Juliet shows herself to be an honest child. She is really respectful to her mother and the daughter who get loved from people. “Madame, I am here. What is your will?” this quote shows how much Juliet respects Lady Capulet. When Lady Capulet asks about Juliet to meet Paris, she did not refuse. She consents to meet Paris, and tries to close with him. In previous scene, respects for parent were Juliet’s duty. Juliet was docile, dutiful child. Before, she falling love with someone. When Juliet meets and falls in love with Romeo, she already prepared to defy her parents. She learns what love is and being more independent. “Shall I speak ill of him that is my husband? Ah, poor my lord, what tongue shall smooth thy name, when I, thy three hours’ wife, have mangled it? But wherefore, villain, didst thou kill my cousin? That villain cousin would have killed my husband. Back, foolish tears, back to your native spring…” According to this quote, Juliet only cares about her husband. Montague and Capulet’s relationship has been gotten worse and worse, because of Tybalt death. Other person crying for Tybalt, but Juliet relieved because Romeo was not dead. The new of ★ Tybalt’s death should produce conflicting feelings for Juliet. She’s confused between her love husband and her duty to feels sad for Tybalt, her real family. But Juliet’s love for ★ Romeo was stronger than her cousin. Even Romeo murdered her cousin, she’s love soon resolves the conflict. During conversation between Juliet and Friar Lawrence, it showed Juliet’s characteristic of love. Act 4 Scene 3, Juliet was complaining about marrying to Paris. At this point, Juliet is most isolated from her family, even the Nurse betrays Juliet’s trust by advising her to forget Romeo and marry with Paris. Friar Lawrence didn’t really mention about Paris, but seems like he also wants Juliet comply her father’s wishes and marry to Paris. In those scenes, author tries to show readers what’s ★ difference between older and younger peoples love. Like Nurse and Friar Lawrence, they are actions. The older people become a thinking before taking ★ calculative person. On the other hand, the ★ ★ younger people don’t think before taking their actions. If Juliet was a calculative person, she does not have a deep attachment to Romeo. The younger people have more pure heart. Also she said, “Things that, to hear them told, have made me tremble and I will do it without fear of doubt, to live an unstained wife to my sweet love.” This quote refers to the way that Juliet’s love. Even if Romeo doesn’t truly love Juliet, she won’t give up this love. It means love is not getting from someone but giving to someone. Juliet endured many hardships but also she actually growing up and learn about love and success her bravest love. Juliet’s decision in final Act was suicide herself because of Romeo’s death. The last chapter strongly showed tragedy love between Romeo and Juliet. It is hard to give up own life because of love. Especially, Juliet was young and she used a dagger to stab herself. In the last chapter Prince said, “For never was a story of more woe than this of Juliet and her Romeo.” This speech described Juliet how bravest she was. No one could brave as her. Even story end up with miserable ending, Shakespeare tried to show how love makes person pure and brave.
