It is widely believed that when the ancient Sumerians and Babylonians recited the Epic of Gilgamesh, they did so with the accompaniment of music. If the Epic of Gilgamesh were made into a movie today, what type of music would you expect to hear?
Consider what context you would place the epic in if it were a movie. Would it take place in ancient times or modern times?
Do you imagine classical music or rap? Do you picture music playing in the background or music inspired by the epic playing at the end credits? Decide the context of the movie before you begin!
