Letters from a Skeptic by Dr. Gregory A. Boyd and Edward K. Boyd Discussion Questions- Correspondence 1 1. If you were going to have a dialogue with someone concerning the subject of Christianity who would you choose and why? 2. Would you feel comfortable discussing any of this with someone you knew who had the opposite view point as you? 3. What is one question that you have that you personally hope they touch on in this book? 4. Do you find yourself asking the same question as Mr. Boyd? “Here’s one I’ve wondered about a lot; how could an all-powerful and all-loving God allow the church to do so much harm to humanity for so long?” (Boyd, pg 17-18). Explain 5. Do you agree or disagree with Dr. Boyd’s response? Explain 6. Is there anything that you do not see touched on in these two responses that you still have questions on? 7. After reading this first correspondence do you have any guesses as to what may be some more questions that Mr. Boyd brings up through out the dialogue?
