Double Source Paper – 12 CP Research Paper Using only 2 Sources Defend your Position The next stop of your research process is the double source paper. It has several goals including: analyzing the effectiveness of two sources for your argument, and one source for your concession, structuring and revising your argument / position, and writing the final research paper. Follow these steps: 1. Choose three sources that are credible, accurate, reliable, and timely and read them thoroughly. These sources could be from your Annotated Bibliography or new ones you have decided to use. 2. Use the Writer’s Inc handbook, or OWL Purdue and create an accurate bibliographic citation. 3. Develop a thesis statement that follows the criteria we’ve talked about. 4. Write two body paragraphs in defense of your thesis, one body paragraph with a concession and rebuttal, and a conclusion. Make sure the paragraphs have topic sentences, transitions, and plenty of evidence from your sources. 5. Format: see below. 12 pt. Font. Single-space thesis if more than one line. Alphabetize bibliographic citations. Double-space body paragraphs.
