Write an essay about a significant event in your life. This event (whether you participated in it or simply witnessed it) must be an event that helped form your character in some way. Choose an event that will be engaging for your readers, and tell your story dramatically and vividly, giving a clear indication of its autobiographical significance.

The narrative is coherent (it makes sense sequentially, and its paragraphs are internally coherent).

The writer's purpose and the event's significance are clear--either explicitly or implicitly--by the essay's conclusion.
Grammar, Punctuation, Mechanics, Etc.
All essays should follow standard American English grammar and punctuation rules.
Please pay special attention to the following:
The essay is free from run-on sentences and sentence fragments.
Commas are used correctly.
Word choice is vivid and appropriate in light of the subject and assignment.
