Middle Passage Paragraph

Through our discussions in class, and the watching of the movie
“Roots,” you have seen that the Middle Passage for the African slave
was a very difficult venture for the people aboard the slave ships bound
for the Americas.
In a well organized paragraph discuss and describe the African slave’s
trip from Africa to the Americas aboard one of these ships. Use your
classroom notes, movie notes, text, and/or any other available resource
to help you detail the adventure these people took during this trying
time.
You must include the following within the paragraph:
Describe the Trade Triangle.
Define the Middle Passage.
Describe the difference between tight pack and loose pack
transportation.
Describe the conditions during the Middle Passage:
- What was life like for the Africans aboard the slave ship?
- How were the slaves treated?
Describe how the crew of these ships talked about the African people.
How did the Europeans justify enslaving these people?
Your paragraph needs to be at least 8 sentences.
