Session 3:
Linking Fraction Instruction
and Assessment
Assessment should be used to inform instruction. This workshop
will assist teachers in thoughtfully designing formative and/or
summative assessments aligned to the CCS and their District
written curriculum.
Participants will:
understand how to build and align assessment items to CCS
examine existing assessment resources to choose appropriate
develop an assessment bank of items to be used for
formative and/or summative assessment
This workshop will address the standards from the early
introduction at grade 3 to rational number operations in grade 7.
Development time will allow participants to work collaboratively
to create current assessment practices.
