The first cause of this problem is “Global Warming”. Climate changes are influenced by carbon dioxide and deforestation. The carbon dioxide makes the temperature of the Earth increase and the animals die when man destroys their habitats. Another problem is the ice melting. Polar bears die because they can’t hunt and their habitats are destroyed. The principal cause of the ice melting is “Global Warming”. In addition to the polar bears penguins die too. They die because the temperature of the Earth increases and the ice melts so they lose their habitat. Another cause of penguins’ death is pollution of the seas. Today 3 species of penguins are endangered and 7 are considered vulnerable. Not only penguins and polar bears are endangered but also pandas and elephants. In recent years the numbers of pandas and elephants have decreased caused by the rising of the temperature of Earth. These animals are protected in wildlife reserves or in zoos but everyone must protect elephants, pandas and all the endangered animals! We love animals, they are our friends. We want to help them. We must reduce the quantity of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere because it is the cause of Global Warming and this phenomenon is the cause of the extinction of animals. For example we can use cars less to reduce the gases which cause Global warming. We can use public transport or go to school by walking or riding a bike. We must protect wildlife reserves because they maintain the ecological balance and therefore protect the endangered animals. Recently in the USA an oil rig has exploded and a lot of fish and birds have died and the vegetation and the surrounding environment have been destroyed for the sake of A similar accident happened along our coast years ago. So man must commit himself to prevent these tragedies and protect the environment where he lives. Other animals in danger are tigers. The numbers in the wild are less than 3,500. We must preserve their habitat otherwise they will die. Whales are in serious danger because they are hunted by humans and these poor animals die. But this hunting has been forbidden. All animals are important and we must respect them Finally we must protect our world!! Asia Panaro- Sara PolleroAlice Romagnoli – Carola Ruggiero Class 3 A Scuola Secondaria 1 grado “B.
