I started my current Job in King Fahad National Guard Hospital on June/6/2000 as
pediatirc intensive care consultant covering the General Pediatirc ICU (9-beds unit).
Because of the increasing need for Pediatirc cardiac surgery, I was assigned to be one of the
founder of an independent Pediatirc Caridac Intensive Care unit.
We have estabished since 2002 one of the most successful and unique pediatric cardiac
intensive care unit with 9 bed and more than 350 pediatric and neonatal cardiac surgeries.
The unit receives cardiac admissions from all over the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in addition
to all post–operative pediatric cardiac cases with simple and complex surgical cardiac repair.
The unit provides state of the art medicine with emphasis on high quality of care, teaching,
education and applying evidence based medicine.
At the present, I am the Head of the Pediatirc Cadiac ICU of King
Abdulaziz Cadiac Center. King AbdulAziz medical city is a teaching hospital with more
than 1000 beds and has pediatirc residency training program and many pediaitric
subspeciality fellowship training programs.
In addition to the management of all kind of complex medical cases, the
consultant pediatric intensivists supervise, teach and train pediatric residents and fellows in
pediatric intensive care and pediatric cardiology fellowship programs. The 2 units provide
state of the art medical multidisciplinary services in addition to many clinical researsh
projects that have been conducted in our ICU and presented nationaly and internationally.
The pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care unit has become of the best performing
Unit all over the Kingdome with an outcome and results equivelant and comparable to
some of the best Pediatric Cardiac ICU all over the world. With more than 300 handreds
pediatric cardiac surgery annually and survival rate exceeding 95% over the last 5 years.

The pediatric cardiac ICU serves as one of the main national pediatric centers that accept
critically ill children fron the Kingdome of Saudi arabia and the entire Middle-East region.
My work includes also participation in many mutidisplinary committee that look after
pateints with end-stage diseases or termianlly ill cases. Providing and formulating work
plan that make or support end of life desiscion, providing compassionate care and
supporting the patients and or family with terminally–ill children.

“The First Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Course and Workshop”. As
Pogram director, founder, and main orgnizer for this unique course, I trained
physicians, nurses, perfusinosits, and respiratory therapists the basic and advanced
knowledge and skills in the field of pediatirc cardiac ICU. The course was the
first of its kind in our region and was conducted in March 2005 at King
AbdualAziz Medical City. Riyadh. Saudi Arabia.

Co-Director and Co-founder and main lecturer of the first Neonatal and
Pediatric Mechanical Ventilation Course and Workshop.
This unique course was the first pediatric and neonatal course educating health
care providers the basic and advenced principles of pediatric mechanical
ventilation. The course was the first of its kind in our region and was conducted
biannually starting from Nov 26-27/ 2005 in the Post-Graduate Medical Center of
King AbdulAziz Medical City, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Lecturer and trainer of The Pediatric sessios in the First Fundemental Critical
Care Medicine Course conducted in Syira. I was the main moderator and
lecturer of the pediatric sessions of this recognized international course which was
introduced for the first time to the Syrian Medical Society. The course was
