They are available to help you draw upon the healing power of faith during your stay in the hospital. The John M. Reeves All Faiths Chapel is located on the 1st floor, main hospital and is open at all times for prayer and meditation. An interdenominational service is held in the chapel on Sunday mornings at 10:30 for patients, families and visitors. If you are unable to attend, you can still see the service by turning your TV to channel 7 at this time. If you have an immediate need, a chaplain is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Topics covered include how to make and keep friends, navigating social situations, and expressing emotions. Because the sessions rely on back-and-forth between participants, participants must have fluent speech (i.e., be able to communicate in complete sentences). The class is open to those with a formal diagnosis that impacts their social abilities, including Social Anxiety Disorder, Asperger's, Autism, AD/HD, as well as to those who simply wish to improve their social skills. Sessions will have up to 10 participants and be led by two therapists. Sessions will be supervised by a licensed clinical psychologist with specialized training in social skills education. Sessions will last one hour and will run for 8 weeks.
