Additional class computer lab fee: $20
So for one class the cost works out to $219. Any student who is not already in an SCCC class (e.g. alumni) but who had a SID
simply pays their tuition and fee and thereby will automatically have a computer login.
Advanced Web Design – Item # 8360 – Thursday’s 5pm to 9pm
Summary Description From Concept to Code, building out the multi-page site. A focus on real world business practice for
interactive design. Over the course of six weeks, students will be given a fictional client and asked build an entire website (1020 pages). They will asked to provide an estimate for the number of hours required to complete each phase of production
and then record their actual hours for comparison at the end of the project to test their accuracy. Prerequisite: A basic
understanding of Cascading Style Sheets (CSS)

Summary Description Screen Printing Workshop - Your time for Your projects.
Develop your skills in fine and commercial art of screen printing in our fully equipped print shop. Review the basics and learn the
intricacies of screening, substrates, ink properties. Six evening workshops will provide progressive instruction and workshop time
with hands-on instruction for your project. Included in the class is full access to the screen shop and basic materials for t-shirts,
posters, and special projects.

adjustment layers and simple retouch to finalize your images. Sharpen, then print with an understanding of icc profiles, proof
setup and gamut warnings.
Photography Portfolio – Item # 8358 – Wednesday’s 9am to 1pm
Summary Description: Produce six portfolio-quality images. After a portfolio review, assignments will designed on an
individual basis to best meet the needs of the individual students. Studio time will be available to all registered students.
Letterpress Bootcamp – Item # 8355 – Tuesday’s 1pm to 5pm
Summary Description: Course Description: An introduction to the history, design and process of letterpress printing. Using
hands-on projects, students will be taught how to properly compose hand-set type, lock-up jobs and print using a Vandercook
flat-bed cylinder press. They will also learn the basic preparation of film and photopolymer plates for use on the Vandercook
flat-bed cylinder press.
InDesign Bootcamp – Item # 8354 – Monday’s 1pm to 5pm
Summary Description: Review package and preflight...Organize and setup magazines/books in InDesign. Learn Object,
Paragraph and Character Styles. Build a library and setup master pages. Develop variables and use special characters to
automate the process. Add tables, table of contents and notes before editing with story editor and creating a PDF. Learn
about the different options for importing content.
Final Cut Pro Bootcamp – Item # 8357 – Monday’s 9am to 1pm
Summary Description: This Course will cover an Introduction to Final Cut Pro, as well as the basic concepts,
techniques, technology and terminology used in video editing and motion graphics. The topics covered in this class will
consist of an Introduction to Final Cut Pro, video editing techniques, history, theory and terminology, storyboarding,
postproduction technology and software, video capture, broadcast standards, digital effects, and various types of format
compression.
Creative Process Bootcamp – Item # 8350 – Tuesday’s 9am to 1pm
Summary Description How do you come up with an idea if you're staring at a blank, white page? What do you do if you
have to generate multiple concepts or an "out of the box" solution when you're feeling creatively stuck? In this class you will
practice stretching the creative side of your brain by participating in a variety of classroom graphic design exercises. Students
will learn multiple approaches to solving design/communication problems through individual and/or group mini-projects. The
classroom exercises will give students different techniques to help generate concepts and ideas for any client project.
