Certificate of Origin (bags must show country of origin) 3. Quality and weight Certificate 4. Analysis Certificate 5. Phytosanitary Certificate 6. Fumigation Certificate 7. Crop Year Certificate – must indicate both month and year of harvest (bags must indicate same) 8. Non Radiation Certificate (Radiation level in sorghum grains should not exceed 10 Bqs/kg) 9. Cargo Stowage Plan 10. Cargo Manifest 11. Non-GMO Certificate. 12. Certificate of Free from Heavy Metals to the extent that does not cause any harm to humans. 13. Certificate of Free of any Color Additives. 14. Certificate of Free from Insecticide and Herbicide residues to the extent that does not harm human health. 15. Certificate confirming that Cereals Do Not contain Toxic or Harmful seeds in the degree to which they may harm human health. 16. Grains content of Mycotoxins should not exceed the quantity stated in Sudanese Standard No. 2842/2006 – on Contamination of Grains & their products by Mycotoxins. 17. Microbiologically limits should not exceed the authorized maximum limit as stated in Sudanese Standard No. 2013/2007 for cereals (Sorghum, Millet, Wheat, Barley, Maize, Rice) Notes: (a) SSMO expects cereals to be consumed within 24 months of Crop month/Year. (b) For Sorghum, on vessel arrival samples are to be drawn by Health /SSMO authorities for GMO tests. WFP Undertaking can be exceptionally accepted by these 2 authorities to discharge cargo & transport inland while test results are awaited. Final Health/SSMO releases must be obtained before food can be distributed/utilized (C) Plant Import Permit (PIP) has to be obtained Prior onboard loading of cargo at loading Port. B- Pulses 1. For unprocessed pulses (Whole grain) bags must show crop year per month/year with a validity of two years shelf life effective date of harvest. C. VEGETABLE OIL 1. B/L 2. (d) DSM in paper package with plastic inner lining to be used within 12 months of production date and DSM in metal tins with aluminum cover to be used within 18 months of production date. FOOTNOTES: A) GMO & Quality Certificates of the international surveyors can only be issued by one of the following surveyors whom are duly recognized by Sudan Authorities (SSMO) : BUREAU VERITAS (BIVAC) CONTROL UNION Germany CIS GEO CHEM INSPECTORATE COTECNA. Issued certificates should further be endorsed by the respective local office of the surveyor in Sudan. D) All Package of incoming shipments must clearly show 1) Country of Origin 2) Commodity Type 3) Unit Weight 4) Either; Crop month & year or Production & Expiry dates – month & year. E) All commodities imported to Sudan MUST arrive at Port Sudan with more than 50% of its shelf-life. F) IP “The import permission” for agricultural shipments: Cereals, Pulses & Super Cereals- Corn Soya Blend: MUST be issued and sent to the exporting country before loading of the cargo imported to Sudan.
