Turret unit
The turret unit consists of a turret head and a turret.
Twelve tools can be mounted in the turret head.
The turret head and the turret are coupled using a driving
shaft, and the turret head is rotated and indexed by an AC
servomotor via a gear driving shaft.
The turret head, after being indexed, is fixed to the turret
by a hydraulic cylinder.
The milling head is cooled by coolant and oil-air mixture
for suppression of thermal displacement.
Cover coolant is essential to avoid damages to the
machine due to accumulation of chips. Keep cover coolant
discharged during automatic operation and pay attention
so that coolant level is not lowered excessively and that
coolant flow will not blocked due to clogging of filter.
The machine has two kinds of spindles, the “mill spindle”
which is incorporated in the column and the “turning
operation spindle” which operates the table in the non Caxis mode.

When starting the presently selected spindle manually to
carry out simple machining operation, follow the steps
indicated below.

(1) Select the spindle to be started.

Refer to 3-9 “Operation of the C-axis (table)”.
(2) Press the

(HOME) key.
Select the manual mode.

The indicator lamp at the upper left corner of the
selected key lights.
When an earth leakage breaker is used, it must have a trip
current rating of 200 mA.
Since the machine has inverter driven equipment, an earth
leakage breaker with a 30 mA trip current rating must not
be used since it could malfunction.
For the breaker at the shop power supply board, use the
one for AC inverters.
