Example
The following is an example of how the points would be calculated for a six-person group participating in the Housing Selection
Process:
Student A: A student with 105 credits and a 3.82 GPA gets 8 points (4.5+3.5)
Student B: A student with 92 credits and a 3.61 GPA gets 7 points (4+3)
Student C: A student with 95 credits and a 3.94 GPA gets 7.5 points (4+3.5)
Student D: A student with 96 credits and a 2.72 GPA gets 6 points (4+2)
Student E: A student with 84 credits and a 2.51 GPA gets 5 points (3.5+1.5)
Student F: A student with 65 credits and a 3.62 GPA gets 6 points (3+3)
The group’s averaged point value is 6.58.
Each group’s averaged point value is then rounded down to the nearest whole number. Thus, in the above example, this group would
be able to select a room when the process opens for “Senior 6” groups on March 24, 2015 at 2PM.
