Red Angus Association of America National Junior Red Angus Show Rules and Classes The National Junior Red Angus Show will be conducted under the rules of the Red Angus Association of America. Animals entered in the National Junior Red Angus Heifer Show must be registered in the name of the junior exhibitor, his/her family’s ranch, or their immediate family (father, mother, brother, sister) and must be in their ownership status for a period of not less than 60 days prior to the announced date o the judging of the National Junior Red Angus Heifer Show. Junior members may show an animal that is owned jointly with other owners but the junior member’s name must be on the registration certificate at least 60 days prior to the show. Ownership requirements for the National Junior Heifer Show are subject to the rules and regulations of the hosting exhibition. National Junior Show Classes Heifer Calves Senior Heifer Calves Summer Yearling Heifers Junior Yearling Heifers Senior Yearling Heifers - Calved after January 1 of show year -Calved August 1 – December 31, prior to the show year - Calved May 1 – July 31, prior to the show year - Calved January 1 – April 30, prior to the show year - Calved September 1 – December 31, two years prior to the show year Grand Champion Heifer (from the above five classes) Reserve Grand Champion Heifer Bred and Owned Class - Junior member must be the breeder and one of the owners of the heifer Showmanship Class for Junior Exhibitors for selection of Champion Showperson
