TRASH COLLECTION SCHEDULE
BUSINESS DISTRICT 3 TUESDAY AND FRIDAY
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Trash may be picked up as early as 7:00 AM. Dusk (or Sunset) the day before trash collection
day is the very earliest trash may be placed on the street. Strict enforcement of that regulation
is promised. Maximum weight of containers is 60 pounds.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------LARGE APPLIANCES, SCRAP METAL AND TIRES must be at the curb by 7:00 AM on the
THIRD FRIDAY of each month.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------YARD REFUSE: All yard refuse (excluding leaves) shall be placed in containers or bags and
placed at the curb along with regular trash. Yard refuse is limited to ten (10) bags per pick-up
with a weight limit of 60 lbs. per container. Disposal of grass clippings collected by
professional lawn services shall be the responsibility of the lawn service.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------BRUSH: All brush 12" in diameter or less is to be cut in 3' lengths and neatly placed at the
curb. Please place this material at the curb by the THIRD MONDAY of each month. ***Light
brush, less than 3" in diameter can be bundled, tied and placed with the regular trash for
collection. Weight limit is 60 lbs. per bundle. Unbundled brush will not be collected with
regular trash. Heavy brush from tree removals and clearing operations are the property owner's
responsibility for disposal. NO BRUSH COLLECTION NOVEMBER AND DECEMBER.
LEAVES: Leaves are scheduled for separate collection beginning in October and again
in April. Leaves are not permitted in regular trash or with brush.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------CONSTRUCTION DEBRIS from large projects will not be accepted, and is the
resident’s and/or contractor’s responsibility for proper removal and disposal.
CONSTRUCTION DEBRIS: SMALL amounts of construction debris from minor
projects will be collected; less than one (1) cubic yard of waste. Residents may also
bring construction debris from minor projects to the Public Works facility on Saturday
mornings with proper permission. Residents must contact Public Works, Monday
through Friday, 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM at (235-3520) to obtain an evaluation of the project
and receive a permit.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------CONCRETE, concrete block, brick, stones and soil cannot be collected curbside, but
residents may bring these materials to a private recycling facility.
TIRES may be brought to the Public Works Center, 601 East Third Street, (off Borton
Landing Road) SATURDAY ONLY, between the hours of 8:00 AM and 12:00 Noon.
**A maximum of two (2) tires per household will be accepted on Saturday.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------THE TOWNSHIP COMPOST FACILITY ON CREEK ROAD (between Borton
Landing and Centerton Road) is open on Saturdays only from 12:00 Noon to 4:00 PM,
for the disposal of leaves and brush by Moorestown Residents.
***Contractor/s, Commercial vehicle/s, or Debris from clearing operations will not be
accepted. These are the contractor/s and or property owner's responsibility for proper
disposal.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------HAZARDOUS WASTE must be disposed of through the Burlington County Resource
Recovery Complex according to their prescribed schedule. Please contact the County at
609-499-5200/609-499-5317 for further information on their program.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------AS A CONVENIENCE TO RESIDENTS, recyclables, and bagged trash may be
dropped off at the Public Works Center from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through
Friday. Recyclables, bagged trash and special trash may be dropped off 8:00 AM to 12
Noon on Saturdays.
