Spring Clean-Up is approaching. Free pick-up of refuse (no household trash), will take place on Friday, April 22, 2011. All trash to be hauled must be in disposable containers not to exceed 50 pounds each and placed at the curb the night before to guarantee pickup. (CURB is to be, on the street where the house fronts; no alley pickups.) No dirt, rocks, concrete or material of this nature will be hauled. No household paints, solvents, insecticides, pesticides, oil, anti-freeze, empty gas tanks, or hazardous chemicals will be taken. No construction/demolition materials will be accepted; i.e. shingles, wood, drywall, siding, etc. Tree limbs and brush must be in bundles not in excess of four feet in length or 50 pounds in weight. Appliances and furniture will be accepted; however, refrigerators, freezers and air conditioners must have appropriate “Red Tag” affixed, to indicate the Freon has been removed. Removal of all junk from a property helps to maintain its value, increase its attractiveness and eliminates possibilities of hazards to health and safety. Mayor’s Office Village of Hartville
