The Reading-tutors Program gives parents (and other concerned adults)
easy-to-understand information to help improve their child's reading
skills. Plan to attend the parent meeting to find out what the program is
all about! You will learn the basic steps for reading and how to use all
the materials provided. Free materials for you to take home include:

 Reading-tutors:
o Introduction: Reading-tutors offers 30 minutes of reading
activities (book, worksheets, games, cards) for K-6th grade
o Computer based program available online

o Phonological Awareness Category: This category addresses

o Phonics Category: Teaches the relationship between sounds

o Fluency: The ability to read accurately and at a sufficient
pace with correct pauses and intonation is called fluency.
Fluency paves the way to reading comprehension. If you spend
less time “sounding out a word” you can concentrate more on the
meaning of the test.
