FAMILY BASKETBALL TURKEY TOSS RULES
TEAMS
Teams consist of two members of the same family. One adult (18 and over) and one child. Team members can
be male or female. Youths may only enter once. Adults may enter with more than one family member. Only
one turkey per family to be awarded.
AGES
Age as of date of the event.
SCORING
Each player:
 Receives 3 points for each basket made
 Receives 2 points for each ball hitting the rim, backboard or net
 Receives 1 point if the ball does not hit anything
 Shoots 3 rounds of 3 shots in each round
WINNING
The winning team will be the team with the highest number of points after the scores of both team members
from all three rounds has been recorded. The winning team in each age division will receive a Thanksgiving
turkey. * ONE TURKEY PER FAMILY *
TIES
In case of ties at the conclusion of the three rounds, both players from each team that is tied will shoot one more
round of three shots. If there is still a tie, there will be a sudden death shoot off.
SUDDEN DEATH SHOOT OFF
The team winning a coin flip has choice of his/her team going first or second. The following shot sequence is
