Lewis Sherp, 83, passed away Thursday noon at his farm home six mile northeast of here. He had been ill five months of heart complications. The son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Sherp, the deceased was born April 24, 1859 on the farm where he passed away. He was a member of the Olive Mennonite church. Mr. Sherp served for 16 years as road supervisor of Harrison Township. Surviving are his widow, Anna May, two sons, George of Jamestown and Calvin, of South of Elkhart, and three grandchildren. Funeral services were held Monday, friends meeting at the home at 1:30 o’clock and at 2 o’clock at the Olive church. Services in charge of the Rev David A. Yoder and the Rev. Clarence Shank.
