Clarice Huddle-Don Wolgamott Nuptials Are Announced Here
The marriage of Miss Clarice Jean Huddle, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. P. O. Huddle,
Cherokee to Mr. Donald Dean Wolgamott, son of Mr. and Mrs. L. E. Wolgamott,
Hardtner, Kansas was solemnized in the chapel auditorium of the First Methodist church,
Wichita, Kansas, March 14. Dr. Tom Williams, pastor of the church, conducted the
ceremony using the single ring service.
Attendants for the couple were Miss Barbara Bridges, Cherokee, and the bridegroom’s
mother, Clifford Wolgamott.
The bride wore a suit of gold wool gabardine with black accessories and corsage of
gardenias. Her only ornament was an old fashioned cameo lavaliere which was worn by
her mother at her wedding. Miss Bridges wore a brown and beige suit with beige
accessories and corsage of purple iris.
Mrs. Wolgamott is a graduate of the Cherokee high school and received her advanced
education at Oklahoma college for Women at Chickasha. At the time of her wedding she
was a senior of Northwestern State college, and was affiliated with Pi Kappa Sigma.
Mr. Wolgamott received his early education at Hardtner, Kansas, where he finished high
school, later attending Northwestern State college. He was a member of the “N” club,
Wranglers, and was affiliated with Delta Tau Gamma.
The couple is now at home at 248 S. Hydraulic, Wichita, where Mr. Wolgamott is
associated with the Cessna Aircraft company.
Friends present at the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. Austin Barragree. Mr. and Mrs. Jack
Immell, Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Wolgamott, Miss Leota Leeper, Miss Lois Newlin, and
Miss Barbara Bridges.
