1. Create a 3 dimensional model of the Virginia Physiographic provinces (all 5 of them)
Include the fall line. The model should have labels and information on each province.
Describe the topographic, rock-type and geologic-structural characteristics of each
physiographic province of Virginia. Also analyze the geologic history of Virginia in
terms of the structures, rock types, and topography represented in the five
physiographic provinces. Describe how multiple continental collisions and rifting
events over the last billion years have created the current physiography of Virginia.
Be sure to explain Karst topography and explain what the fall line is.
The model should be a complete representation of Virginia
2. Design a power point presentation about the 5 Physiographic provinces of Virginia.
Include pictures of each province. Describe the topographic, rock-type and geologicstructural characteristics of each physiographic province of Virginia. Also analyze the
geologic history of Virginia in terms of the structures, rock types, and topography
represented in the five physiographic provinces. Describe how multiple continental
collisions and rifting events over the last billion years have created the current
physiography of Virginia. Be sure to explain Karst topography and Explain what the
fall line is.
3. Create a picture book on the physiographic provinces of Virginia. Your book must
have all 5 provinces listed. Describe the topographic, rock-type and geologicstructural characteristics of each physiographic province of Virginia. Also analyze
the geologic history of Virginia in terms of the structures, rock types, and
topography represented in the five physiographic provinces. Describe how
multiple continental collisions and rifting events over the last billion years have
created the current physiography of Virginia. Be sure to explain Karst topography
