6th Symposium & master classes on Mucosal Immunology: “Cells living on the edge” Thursday 8 & Friday 9 October, 2015 vs. 151006 The Erasmus Postgraduate School Molecular Medicine has two main activities: the organization of education for postgraduate students, and the stimulation of collaboration between departments with a particular focus on translational research. As a continuation of five prior very successful Symposia and workshops on Mucosal Immunology, organised by the Erasmus Postgraduate School Molecular Medicine in 2004, 2006, 2008, 2011 and 2013, a 6th Symposium and workshops will be held in October 2015. The committee has invited nationally and internationally leading scientists to give the keynote lectures regarding mucosal cytokine responses and activation of innate and adaptive immunity. Based on the previous symposia we expect up to 100 or more attendees from all over the Netherlands and Belgium. On Friday October 9th workshops are held in which all attending PhD candidates and post-docs are invited to present their own work. In these sessions, the presented data will be discussed under the guidance of the keynote speakers and one staff scientist from our research school.
