Slioch 3rd July 2008
Canoed across Loch Maree and left our gear in among some trees just right of the
Abhainn an Fhasaigh river
Left quite late on for the hill at 1:28pm.
Went on to Sgurr Dubh and stopped before the plateau for a break to eat.
Headed between the two lochs taking pictures and arrived at a top at 4:34pm.
Looking across to the munro top it was clear and dry.Would it last? No chance.
Headed across for the munro top and down came the rain big time.Quickly in to the
waterproofs and reached the munro Slioch 981m at 4:44pm.
Unable to take any photos from the top just too wet so a quick bite to eat and on we
went.
Walked along the ridge arriving at Sgurr an Tuill Bhain at about 6:00pm.
Rain started to ease off.
Headed down for the burn and reached the loch shore (in the rain of course) at about
8pm.
Remember some beautiful sunsets on the loch which sort of compensated for the
midges. Canoed back over the next morning.
