Ben Cruachan and Stob Diamh Accompanied by Garry and Carol. 14th October 2007 10:12 am left car parked at the side of the road just before the power station. Weather drizzly and getting worse. Found a wee path and cut over the railway straight up through the trees hitting the beallach at 1:14pm.On to the path and headed round the dam. First top Meall Cuanail 918m 1:24pm No Views and rain more or less on all the time Ben Cruachan 1104m at 2:12pm Top Drochaid Ghlas 1009m at 3:54pm Stob Diamh 998m at 4:40pm Weather dry for the moment but the mist is really thick. It’s waterproofs all day. Last top of the day Stob Garbh 980m at 5:13pm No time to waste at this time of the year as it will soon be dark. Headed south for Cruachan reservoir but somehow diverted south-east. Decided to persist in that direction and picked up a land rover track just as it started to get quite dark. Came out on the road at Loch Awe at about 7:30pm and walked west about 1km to a fishing pub.Garry then started walking for the car and luckily got on the Oban bus. He picked us up at the pub at 8:40pm.The two of us drove up to Kintail arriving about midnight.
