As the Technical Director for the NSCAA in Europe, I would like to take this opportunity to inform you about some valuable professional development opportunities we have for your instructional staff.
From its humble beginnings in 1941, the National Soccer Coaches
Association of America (NSCAA) has grown to become the world’s largest single-sport coaches' organization. The NSCAA's mission is to help its members excel in their coaching careers by offering numerous coaching education programs as well as its NSCAA Annual Convention and various other member services.
In 2002, the NSCAA extended its reach to include Americans abroad, specifically in Western European international schools and military installations. Since then, other English-speaking soccer organizations overseas have also used our services to provide coaching education to their staffs.
The intention of the NSCAA Europe is to conduct our non-residential, weekend courses (see course descriptions) for both novice and experienced coaches who regularly coach in the English language. As you can see, our offerings cover a wide range of age-groups and are sequential in nature.
Once the non-residential program has been successfully completed, the
NSCAA Academy is next. This residential program is the benchmark for soccer coaching education in the U.S.
In addition to providing this professional development opportunity for your coaches, we’re also looking for clubs which would like to host the courses.
Please read the “Hosting a Course” section of this brochure for more details.
I thank you for taking the time to consider the NSCAA Coaching Education
Program and look forward to seeing you at a future course.
Best Wishes,
Frank Tschan

Here’s some information about how you can arrange one of our courses in your town/club.
For more information about the NSCAA please visit www.nscaa.com.
The NSCAA Europe Course-Hosting Process
1) Select a reliable "On-Site Coordinator" who will work with me making all course arrangements. Arrangements include a grass or turf field, a badweather facility (gym), all necessary equipment and a classroom with projector/screen for Power Point Presentations. A small fee will be paid to this individual for their work.
2) Advertise to get at least 15 participants guaranteed. We can usually handle up to 25 per course.
3) Collect all payments. This should be done by requiring either payment in full or a non-refundable deposit in advance.
4) Arrange an accommodation for the instructor. The instructor will arrange his/her own transportation to and from the site.*
*The final price for each course will include the instructor ’s costs. For example, if a diploma costs €65.00 and the instructors costs are €150, then a course of 20 participants would pay $72.50 each. If the host organization also wants to pay for a lunch, an evening social or take the group to a game then these costs would also have to be calculated from the side of the organizers.
5) Manage the processing of all finances with the Technical Director after the course.
