Home and Studio Construction
1996-2002
With the assistance and guidance of Architect Alexander Harrison, the planning
and design of a straw bale construction of a 2,400 square foot house with
1,800 square foot studio and workshop, located on ten acres boasting 120
mile views in New Mexico. The house includes seven antique doors, a 1,500
gallon recyclable water feature, flagstone walkways and gardens, and
traditional viga and latilla work of the highest quality. Approximately, 80% of
all work was self-supervised and 40% of all work was physically done by self.
The actual construction took 22 months to complete. It was a lifetime dream
and is a living artwork.
