Group sessions and group work will focus on: - The strategy of the University, being one of the leading Universities of Technology in Europe The realization of the strategy in times of financial constraints The remains of the old-fashioned administration versus the customer-oriented approach The effectiveness of the chosen decentralized approach; the central and departmental level Vienna's way to incorporate innovation The programme will start with a warming-up session on Tuesday 4 June at 20.30 hrs and will end after dinner on Friday night 7 June. During the welcome meeting participants will introduce themselves and will be informed about the programme. Sub-groups will be established and assignments distributed. Our host, Paul Jankowitsch will present a description and explanation of the Austrian HE system. Drinks and sandwiches will be presented.
