For active immunisation of healthy rabbits against myxomatosis

DOSAGE FOR EACH SPECIES, ROUTE(S) AND METHOD OF
ADMINISTRATION
Subcutaneous administration:
After reconstitution of the freeze-dried part in the whole volume of the Diluent administer one dose
(0,5 ml) by subcutaneous route preferably in the scapula region.
Intradermal (auricular) administration:
Administration is performed by double needle
Vial with the content of 20 doses is diluted in 2 ml of Diluent supplied
Vial with the content of 40 doses is diluted in 4 ml of Diluent supplied
Vaccine is administered by sticking of the upper half of the auricle with double needle, so that large
blood vessels remained intact.
Vaccination schedule :
Basic vaccination:
first injection: from 10 -12 weeks of age.
Booster :
4 months after first injection
Breeding rabbits are vaccinated two a year- in the spring and in the summer
In the area with increased occurrence of disease it is recommended to vaccinate young rabbits older
than 4 weeks with the revaccination 6-8 weeks after the first injection. The second revaccination is
done 4 months later.
Onset of immunity starts 3 days after vaccination, full immunity is created 10 days after vaccination.
