My Lord Duke
I beg leave to
mention to your Grace that
my son, Henry Allen Wedgwood,
a barrister of about ten
years standing, is desirous
of being appointed Police
Magistrate for the Potteries
[Page two]
If your Grace should be
pleased in any degree to favor
the application that he has
made to Lord John Russell
I should feel the more grateful
as I am conscious that I
have not the slightest claim
upon your consideration
and that I have no adequate
apology for venturing to
[Page three]
intrude in this way upon
your Grace
D593/P/22/1/29
I have the honor to be
Your Graces
Most oblijed
and humble servant
