Celebrating Children and Young People in Conwy
This survey aims to collect information regarding what is happening in Conwy to celebrate
the achievements and contributions of children and young people aged 0 to 25.
Celebrating means “celebrating the activities, accomplishments,
undertakings, achievements or contributions of children and
young people”
The information gathered in this survey will help us:
 Improve the practice of celebrating children and young people and address any gaps
 Aid the promotion of events or celebrations which both involve children and young
people and are for children and young people
 Develop strategies to promote and advocate positive attitudes towards children and
young people (for example how they are portrayed in the media)
“Celebrating Children and Young People, is about acknowledging children
and young people’s achievements and contributions. . . and preventing
the destructive cycle of young people living up to the negative image that
is portrayed of them”
(Conwy Children and Young People’s Strategic Plan 2008 – 2011)
