Research Poster Presentations
MPEA is soliciting proposals from Missouri graduate students or recent educational
administration graduates for research poster presentations at the Annual Spring Conference to be
held April 25, 2014 at Stoney Creek Inn in Columbia, Missouri. Poster session presentations
should relate to some aspect of educational leadership. Posters may be reports of current or
completed research, investigation of programmatic issues, best practices, or innovative practices.
Proposal Submission
Graduate students interested in presenting at the 2016 MPEA Spring Conference should
submit the Poster Session Proposal Sheet to Dr. Doug Thomas (University of Central
Missouri) at thomas@ucmo.edu or Dr. Joe Sartorius (Southwest Baptist University) at
jsartorius@sbuniv.edu
Proposal Review will begin immediately. All proposals are due by April 1st for review.
Authors will be notified of acceptance status by April 9th.
Presenters will be provided with ½ of a 6’ table on which to display their poster.
Presenters are required to be present during the conference. Poster setup is at 9 a.m., with
the first session (informal) starting at 9:30 a.m. A second session (3-5 minute
presentation) will be from 11:00 to 12:00 noon.
Conference registration and lunch will be provided by MPEA for the selected student
research session participants.

Student Research Presentation Session 11:00 to 12:00 noon
Students should provide a 3 to 5 minute oral presentation, followed by poster review
and networking.
