OLDER STALLIONS WITH NEW BLOODLINES
Danish Warmblood Stallion Licensing 10-13 March in Herning
Several of the older stallions licensed in Herning this year represent relatively new and rare
bloodlines; not least the champion of the refinement stallions, the black Arabian “Zonyx”.
Champion stallion “Zonyx” was described as an elegant and well-proportioned stallion with a
lot to offer the warmblood breeding.
In the group of older dressage stallions the 9-year-old Dutch son of Jazz “Johnson” took the
champion title. He is well-recognized abroad in sport as well as in breeding.
5-year-old “Toulouse” became the champion among the older jumping stallions. He carries
interesting Belgian and French bloodlines and was described as the prototype of the future
jumping horse.
The judges selected “Bøgegårdens Boney M” as champion of the 4-year-old dressage stallions.
Boney M is a very supple and well-functioning horse.
The Aage Ravn Challenge Cup is awarded the best Danish bred 4- or 5-year-old dressage
stallion with an approved performance test and this price went to “Tailormade Rush” which was
also awarded Danish Warmblood’s breeder medal in bronze. He is a large-framed and
masculine stallion with very good gaits.
“Heart-Ache BS” became 4-year-old jumping champion stallion. He was awarded Danish
Warmblood’s breeder medal in silver and also got the prestigious Elvin Rasmussen Challenge
Cup as the best Danish bred 4- or 5-year-old jumping stallion with an approved performance
test. “Heart-Ache BS” was praised for his supple and powerful jumping with great capacity.
