CHAMPION FOALS OF THE YEAR
Danish Warmblood Elite Show 9-11 September at Vilhelmsborg, Aarhus
The Danish Warmblood judges were presented with a very high level of quality in the foal final.
The 2011 champion foals of the four categories are:
Champion jumping filly foal
Hummels Fallulah by Godsend du Reverdy/A'Khan Z
Breeder and owner: Hummelshøj og Højsleth, 9670 Løgstør
This filly foal is out of a very strong dam line with international performances. The full sister
”Hummels Minnie the Moocher” is formerly filly foal of the year and 2-year-old filly of the year.
The dam is a full sister of Tina Lund’s international jumper Zamiro. The judges described this
foal as noble and feminine with a roomy canter.
Champion jumping colt foal
Canada Sem by Ci Ci Senjor Ask/Cajus
Breeder and owner: Esben Pedersen, 9620 Ålestrup
The breeder of this foal has bred three out of the 12 jumper foals in the final. The dam is the
gold medal mare Chelsea Sem which was the jumping champion mare 2007. This long-legged
and noble foal was praised for it supple top line and excellent canter which earned the foal a
10 from the judges.
Champion dressage filly foal
JJ Fuji by Fürstenball/Deemster
Breeder and owner: JJ Horses, N-1850 Mysen
This foal has qualified at a foal show in Norway and has travelled all the way for the finals at
Vilhelmsborg. This beautiful and very expressive filly displayed a great activity in the hind-legs
and ability to sit. The great grand dam is a former Grand Prix jumper.
Champion dressage colt foal
Ellely's Tornado by Tailormade Temptation/Flemmingh
Breeder and owner: Birgith Thomasen, 8930 Randers NØ
Ellely’s Tornado scored nothing less than 10 for his trot and the judges evalued his potential
of gaits as almost unlimited. This colt foal is also out of a strong performance bred dam line
with successful jumpers.
