Enzyme microreactors. Immobilization of proteins, enzymes, DNA and related binding partners on artificial membranes and silicon to develop novel biochromatographic technique. Screening and analysis of biologically active components in natural products and Chinese medicine using affinity chromatography, microdialysis/HPLC, and MADLI-TOF MS. CURRENT RESEARCH INTEREST Affinity capillary electrophoresis. Investigating DNA-Protein interaction and antigen-antibody interaction to clarify the binding stoichiometry and the underlined mechanisms. DNA damage and repair. Developing novel ultrasensitive methods and techniques for detection of DNA damage. Techniques include capillary electrophoresis and laser-induced fluorescence, and single cell gel electrophoresis (comet assay). Assessment of human exposure to carcinogens using DNA adducts as biomarkers.
