PROJECT CHALLENGES AND GOALS 1. What is/are the objective(s) of this Collaborative Venture? In light of the European Year on Active Ageing and Inter-Generational Solidarity, and capitalising on a two year project on Active Age Management, CSR Europe, with its members, would like to contribute in providing tools for companies to further mainstream their Human Resources policies targeted at its ageing workforce and in raising the awareness for independent living tools and services supported through ICT. Capitalising on the existing best practices collected in the past months, this collaborative venture will identify the pioneering companies in the field of Active Ageing and develop a comprehensive publication displaying the business case of Active Ageing and Inter-generational solidarity from the business community’s perspective in order to provide companies with a status quo in this area. Additionally, the participants of the collaborative venture, companies and stakeholders, will identify leading and transferable instruments and practices in the field of Active Ageing and include these tools and tips in their publication. The focus area of this collaborative venture will be the following: - Encouraging volunteers: Integrate and foster exchange between ageing population and communities Understand and encourage inter-generational exchange and solidarity within the workforce Adapt the concept of work-life balance to ageing employees and promote flexibility for employees to take care of their elderly relatives Study and disseminate new models of home and community care in support of independent living for older people Explore the possibilities brought by novel technologies is support of preventive healthcare, disease management and wellness for older people 2. DELIVERABLES/TARGETED AUDIENCE What potential deliverables would you like to develop? - Launch event with visibility for companies and communities at large, to showcase existing practices and demonstrate commitment to the Collaborative Venture Building up the Business case for ageing employees by developing a collection of practical tools and instruments available to companies Collection of best practices Closing event with Workshop on integrating, developing, mainstreaming HR policies targeted at ageing employees and on independent living principles and solutions targeted at communities at large.
