Professional Experience Since completing my Ph.D. I have been involved, in the application of computers to develop a fully automated system to characterize ligands by measuring the ionization constants (pKa), affinity constants () with a range of metals and partition coefficients (Kpart). This automated system I designed has been developed to simultaneously obtain the spectrophotometric and potentiometric titration data as well as the kinetic data, where over this period of time, I have been focusing on the development and designing of novel compounds for metal chelation therapy. During my Ph.D. and MSc. programme, I was involved in the application of spectroscopy techniques and in particular NMR for characterising and identifying compounds under investigation in solid and in solution state. In addition, I have developed software to simulate solid state NMR spectra. Furthermore, I used the solid state NMR technique to investigate the polymorphism of the lyophilized form of phosphorus compounds. I have extensive experience with molecular modeling, particularly the HyperChem software release 2 for Silicon Graphics. Interested in molecular graphics (MD, MM) for understanding size and physical properties of drug delivery systems. Furthermore, I gained a considerable experience in HPLC, Drugs Formulations, TGA and DSC. Academic supervision o Joint supervision of Ph.D. and M.Sc. Students. o 1993-1996 Lotfollah Dehkordi PhD; o 1994 - 1997 Majed Moridani PhD; o 1995 - 1998 Zu Dong Liu PhD; o 1997-1998 Karen Pleban (Vienna) M.Pharm; Ruth Michaelis (Frankfurt) M.Pharm. o 1998-2000 Lubna Baydoun PhD; Feluke Fakorede PhD.; Sirivipa Piyamongkol PhD; Mutlu Aytemir ( Istanbul) Ph.D. o 1999 - 2000 Contract work for Strakan involving the physical chemistry of zinc clindamycin phosphate complexes. Teaching experience I would be interested to lecture subjects related to physical-chemical properties of organic molecules as prodrugs and their relative stabilities(oxidation, hydrolysis, side interaction). I will undertake a teaching responsibility in the area of physical and inorganic chemistry in particular spectroscopy techniques and numerical recipe. Furthermore, I have a considerable interest in teaching pharmaceutical chemistry covering the subjects of drug delivery, medicinal chemistry, analytical sciences, formulations and drug charaterisations. Computing experience o Computer programming using various languages including (Basic, Visual Basic, o FORTRAN, Pascal). 7. Publications 1. H.
