Steve Clifford - Artist Bio
Steve is a native Texan and graduate of the
University of Houston. He spent 35 years in the
Information Systems and Technology field in
Houston and California, and then retired in the
Lake Conroe area of Willis in 2005. After almost
30 years of left brain systems analysis he began
pursuing right brain creativity. Five years prior
to his retirement he began taking drawing, pastel,
and sculpting classes. His sculpting knowledge
and skills increased significantly after taking
classes from nationally known Master Sculptor M
David Mattiza.
Steve specializes in horse and wildlife sculptures and has received first place ribbons from CAL and
LSAG for his horse sculptures. He also prefers to draw domestic and wildlife animals, but is
expanding his interests into flowers and landscape with their wide variations in color. Recently, Steve
has begun to explore acrylic and watercolor mediums.
