‘Difficulties mastered are opportunities won’ Patricia ‘Trisha’ Robinson FCIPD/MInstILM/EMCC Qualified/Certified & Experienced Executive Coach/Mentor Mobile 07802690907 Email: trisha.robinson50@btinternet.com Professional Memberships: FCIPD – Fellow, Chartered Institute of Personnel Development: Member Institute of Leadership & Management – ILM Executive Coach/Mentor level 7: Member EMCC (European Mentoring & Coaching Council) ;Qualified/Accredited Interpersonal Disputes Mediator I have worked as a senior executive for many years. My experience crosses IT and Telecoms sectors having held Global HR Director and Vice President positions within Logica and Nokia, and latterly also the Not for Profit sector – currently Non Executive Director for Quantum Care. I have extensive Global Leadership experience which encompasses expertise in a multitude of arenas: change management/international employee relations/ mergers, acquisitions and divestments/ manpower planning issues/ restructuring/ site closures and conversely start-ups /new builds. Example coaching/mentoring scenarios where I would add value would be for leaders of multi-national teams/newly appointed leaders to significant new level/ leaders tasked with a significant change situations eg integration of a new acquisition /leaders who need to inspire and motivate teams to collaborate and deliver within dynamic changing situations eg start ups and need for growth – whether organic or by acquisition through to large scale organisations facing turbulent times- demanding ‘fast of foot’ turnaround tactics and highly engaged/collaborative/motivated/accountable teams. My coaching style is: insightful, intuitive and non-directive style (with challenge where needed). This has enabled me to coach executives (functional and general business - first and second line – local and/or multinational remits) helping them to see their own behavioural 'patterns'; to improve how to lead their teams and tackle challenges. My diverse experience has enabled me to be a valued counsel and coach to executives across many cultures needing a neutral sounding board. I have been described as being a ‘master of intuitive emotional engineering'. Similarly, I have had the priviledge to be a mentor for executives dealing with challenging organisational changes where strong people leadership is needed to motivate teams to drive the changes forward. During coaching assignments, I am able to select from a range of exploratory techniques to help my clients to understand aspects such as their own drivers, personality traits, behaviour patterns – it really depends on their specific need and situation – I am able to select from these techiques ‘in the moment’. My the sole aim through my coaching and 1 mentoring is to help my clients to develop further, and most importantedly to develop in a sustained way, in whatever is their goal and need for coaching or mentoring. Recent words used by my coachees and mentees about my style include – ‘’ I value Trisha’s insightful and intuitive approach; being able to be flexible and ‘in the moment’; also ‘’ Trisha has helped me to understand and see my own behaviour patterns’’ - to “join up the dots” ‘’enabled me to to take control of my situation, develop and move forward.’’ One coachee said I always had ‘’very wise words’’ – in fact it was this comment that inspired the name of my recently company: Y’s Words Ltd – which I would say encompasses my own personal brand. I believe, as a leader it’s very important to understand your own brand and style – develop and nurture it. My own leadership style is values driven, inspirational and sensitive - recognising that the way to motivate and get the best out of people is to show respect for each individual as a whole. I am a strong and empathetic communicator, change leader and values ambassador, with the ability to lead teams of all types - whether direct line, virtual, project, multi-cultural, multinational or global. My last global senior executive role was as Vice President of the Global Operational HR function (c400 professionals across 35 countries) for Nokia (2006 – 2012). In this role I was valued for my ability to translate strategy into being operationally relevant and thus implementable at ‘grass roots’ within multi-cultural settings. Examples of companies I where I have provided Executive Coaching include: Cancer Research UK: DHL (Brazil): Elektron Technology: Retroscreen Virology: Kings College London: Nokia I fully respect and adhere to the European Mentoring and Coaching Council’s (EMCC) code of ethics: as well as the professional standards of Institute of Leadership of Management (qualified ILM level 7 Executive Coach/Mentor). I’m based in Hertfordshire and am very happy to travel anywhere in the country for face-to-face discussions. In addition, I am also very used to coaching through Skype and over the phone to coachees in the UK as well as those based overseas. In essence I can be flexible about how I connect with clients. To contact me and have an initial sounding out and no obligation discussion , please call me on +44 7802690907 or alternatively email me at trisha.robinson50@btinternet.com My approach is usually to have an initial discussion with a potential client to get a feel for whether I could be a good fit to their needs. If, as a result of this we both feel mutually positive then this is followed by a face to face meeting, whereby we will discuss further the potential assignment. In this discussion we will also go through a number of key points to ensure that our expectations about eg what coaching or mentoring entails, the ethics and code of conduct that surround it and other key items to ensure that we are on the same page. References from previous coachees and mentees can be happily provided.
