LEAF RECYCLING/YARD WASTE
All leaf/yard waste must be contained in brown bio-degradeable bags and are available
for purchase at your local hardware store. Bagged leaf/yard waste should contain
ONLY, leaves, dead flowers, weeds, shrubbery and trimmed branches (1-1/2-2” in
diameter and 3’ long). No plastic bags will be accepted. Grass clippings can be
placed in open containers and will be picked up by Waste Management during normal
garbage pick-up days. A year around drop off container is located at Bangor Memorial
Park. The hours are Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and Saturday from 8:00
a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (weather permitting). Anyone dumping anything other then yard
waste will be fined. Please report any illegal dumping to (610) 588-2089.
Leaf vacuuming at the curbline will be Monday thru Friday, November 10th thru
November 26th. Any leaf piles containing dog waste, stones, grass or twigs will not be
accepted. There will be no pick-up on holidays or during inclement weather.
Christmas trees will not be picked up at the curb. Please drop off at the roll off
container located at Bangor Memorial Park. Do not wrap trees in plasitc bags and they
must be free of ornaments, lights, tinsel, etc. Trees left on the curb will not be picked
up.
