Alumni Association 2012 Board Election ~Nominations Slate~ Brian Blasko ‘07 North Huntingdon, PA Brian is currently a Graduate Student at California University of Pennsylvania pursuing his Masters in Special Education. He is also a graduate assistant in their Reading Specialist Department. Brian is also substitute teaching in Westmoreland County. Krista Boyer ‘03 New Stanton, PA Krista is a Licensed Professional Counselor, specializing in women’s issues, abuse and depression. Krista is trained in psychological and neuropsychological testing and evaluations. Krista leads a team of clinician to provide comprehensive diagnostic evaluations on children, and adults. She received a Master’s Degree in Counseling from Chatham University, Pittsburgh, Pa., and a Doctorate Degree from Carlow University, Pittsburgh, Pa. Ryann Bradley ’07 New Stanton, PA Ryann Bradley is a business analyst with UPMC. Prior to this position, Ryann was a services analyst and consultant at Deloitte & Touche LLP, one of the largest professional services organizations in the world and one of the “Big Four” auditing firms. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree from Bethany College with a concentration in sports management and economics. Ryann then earned his Master of Business Administration degree in 2007 from Seton Hill University, where he served as the assistant men’s soccer coach. He is pursuing his Master of Accounting degree from Chatham University and plans on sitting for the CPA exam in May 2011. In his free time, Ryann continues to coach soccer for the nationally recognized Beadling Soccer Club of Bridgeville, PA. Ryann serves as a Seton Hill University Alumni Ambassador. In her current role she procures raw material from various US and Global suppliers to support the needs of the company. Amy has been with Kennametal since July 2010. Prior to Kennametal she worked for First Energy ~ previously known as Allegheny Energy in Greensburg. During her time at First Energy, Amy was the primary point of contact for the Pleasants Power Station, which was Allegheny Energy’s largest power generation facility. She was responsible for the procurement of all commodities and services. Amy led several business initiatives, including the implementation of the restructuring of Allegheny Energy’s procurement methodology. She was appointed to head a procurement process sub-team as well as coordinate and lead key sourcing activities for the impending merger between Allegheny Energy and First Energy of Ohio. Amy has participated in the implementation of SAP, where she served as a developer and trainer for Procure-to-Pay process; she attained her Six Sigma Green Belt in July 2009. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in corporate communication from Seton Hill University in May 2008. Amy is volunteers with Faith in Action and is often asked to speak on the organization’s behalf. Shannon K. Davis '05 Greensburg, PA Shannon has served as the Assistant Manager to the Nebraska Book Company at Seton Hill University. She has served as advisor to the Student Activities Council, and continues to promote student programming and service initiatives at the University. She also supports several community and volunteer initiatives in Westmoreland county. Sylvia Grimme Detar '85 Greensburg, PA Sylvia Grimme Detar is the director of the continuing education division at Westmoreland County Community College in Youngwood, PA. Sylvia graduated from Seton Hill in 1985 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in management and psychology and her MBA from Seton Hill University in May 2010. Her prior positions include executive director of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Westmoreland County from 1993-1997 and program coordinator of the co-op/internship program at Seton Hill College from 1991-1993. Sylvia has significant strength in program start-up, system revisions and special event planning with 17 years of supervisory experience. Additionally she is very familiar with grant writing practices and procedures. Sylvia serves as a Seton Hill University Alumni Ambassador. Tamara Skatell Harris ‘86 North Huntingdon, PA Tammy is a 1986 business management graduate. She previously owned and operated several area Quiznos Sub shops. More recently Tammy manages her family Shop ‘N Save store in North Huntingdon, PA. Page 3 Emily Heinicka ‘10 Greensburg, PA While a student at Seton Hill, Emily was very involved as a Resident Assistant and Head Resident Assistant, Class officer, Senator, Lambda Pi Eta Vice President for Chapter Relations, and Founder and Executive Director for SHU-A-THON. SHU-A-THON started various fundraising events for local charitable organizations, introducing the Run for Hope 5K that is now a SHU Homecoming tradition. Emily is a Campaign Coordinator for Team in Training at The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in Pittsburgh, where she assists volunteers in fundraising and training to participate in endurance events that help to find a cure for blood cancers. Prior to working for LLS, Emily worked in Alumni Relations at Seton Hill, with an emphasis in event planning. She will complete her Master's in Business Administration with a specialization in Entrepreneurship in May 2012 from Seton Hill. Emily continues her involvement with her alma mater as a representative of the GOLD alumni. Susan Lesczynski Gill ‘95 North Versailles, PA Susan Lesczynski is a real estate broker. In 2011 she was the President of Westmoreland West Board of Realtors. Susan has recently been elected to serve on the board of directors for the Realtor Association of Metropolitan Pittsburgh as a designated broker for a four-year term beginning January 2012. She was the President Elect of Westmoreland West Board of Realtors for 2009 and was the President of Westmoreland West Board of Realtors for 2010 and 2008. Susan is also on the Board of Directors at the Western Pennsylvania Apartment Association. She was awarded 2010, 2009, 2008 and 2007 Top Multi Million Dollar Broker Award. She is broker of record for Walnut Capital Real Estate in the state of Pennsylvania and West Virginia. In addition, Susan manages a large portfolio of apartments. Susan is an alumni ambassador for the University. She has been a licensed real estate agent since 1995. During her tenure with Walnut Capital, Lesczynski has also served as a property manager and real estate sales agent while earning her broker’s license. She has been the Broker of Record for Walnut Capital Real Estate Services since 2000. Susan provides and specializes in Residential, Commercial and Multi-Family Brokerage Services. Susan is a member of the Realtor Association of Metropolitan Pittsburgh, Westmoreland West Association of Realtors, and Western Pennsylvania Apartment Association. Susan has completed and received her Quality Service Certification. Marianne Miele ‘80 Greensburg, PA Marianne Miele is an attorney and managing partner at Horewitz Cordaro Dietz & Miele, a law firm located in Connellsville, PA. Her areas of practice include personal injury and social security disability. She handles the negotiation, mediation and arbitration of the firm’s personal injury cases and she represents social security clients at federal administrative hearings. She is the Fayette County Patient Advocate, representing patients at involuntary mental health commitment proceedings. Since January 2010 she has been the Executive Director for the Fayette County Bar Association. She has participated in mediation training and is a mediator in the Fayette County Court of Common Pleas. She is the current President of the Board of Directors of Communities in Schools of Southwest PA and is active in the American Cancer Society Daffodil Days and the United States Marine Corps Toys for Tots. She obtained her BA and her MBA from Seton Hill University. Page 4 Sr. Maureen O’Brien ‘67 Greensburg, PA Sister Maureen O'Brien is a Sister of Charity and a member of the SHU class of 1967. She has spent most of her years in the ministry of education, 22 of those as an instructor in the Religious Studies Department and Director of Campus Ministry at Greensburg Central Catholic High School. Sister Maureen is currently the Director of Campus Ministry at SHU and has served on the Alumni Board for the past 3 years. Marchaé Peters ‘08 Pittsburgh, PA Marchaé Peters works for Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, serving as the Byham House Director, where she is currently developing their new residential housing program. Marchaé is responsible for the care of 19, 14 to 18 year old students/ballerinas who reside in The Byham House for a 10-month period. Prior to her current position Marchaé attended Chatham University where she graduated with a Master of Science degree in Counseling Psychology and served as a Graduate Resident Director for two years. Marchaé also spent two years as a Resident Teaching Assistant at Seton Hill University, where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. Marchaé enjoys meeting new people, going to see musicals, singing, ballroom dancing, and anything else that’s new and fun! JoAnn Seabol ‘88 Greensburg, PA Graduate of Greensburg Central Catholic high school 1968 Earned associate degree in merchandising and retailing 1970; Married Greg Seabol in 1972 Enrolled at Seton Hill in 1976 graduated in 1988 with a BFA degree; Established Bella Sala interior design in 1990; Active on the Seton Hill corporation board in the 90s Gave birth to daughter Lilli in 1996 Donna Germano Uhrinek ‘76 Greensburg, PA Donna (Germano) Uhrinek – Class of 1976 – Married, 2 Children. Graduated from Seton Hill with a B.A. in psychology and an Early Childhood teaching certificate. Completed a Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Pittsburgh in 1985. Employed by Greensburg Salem School District since 1977. Currently teach first grade. Professional experiences and responsibilities include teaching grades k, 1, 2; mentoring new faculty; serving on various curriculum committees; remedial reading instructor and presenter for the program’s parent night; report card revision committee member and presenter for community focus group; cooperating teacher for college students. Additionally worked as a part time instructor in the Education Department at Seton Hill.
