Duncan's Outdoor Shop Holds 1st Annual “Giving Back To the Community” Day!
Will host, and raise money for 5 local charities.
Bay City, MI - Duncan's Outdoor Shop, Inc. located at 501 Salzburg Avenue, is hosting its first
customer appreciation day “Giving Back to the Community” on Saturday, August 9th 2014, from 9am
to 3pm.
The charities featured at this one day event are MIBlood, Toys-for-Tots, Bay Area Women's Center, Bay
County Food Connection, and Great Lakes Bay Animal Society. Donors will receive tickets to be used
for FREE range time on the day of the event, and to be entered into drawings.
Mossberg, Springfield Armory, Crimson Trace, POF rifles, Windham Weaponry, PTR-91, Gun Tote'n
Mamas, and CVA reps. will be on hand to answer questions. The following speakers will be available
for questions also: Dr. Bruce Francke “Hunting Dog Injuries”, Darin Morman “Working Your Hunting
Dog”, Kristine Felske “Obedience”, Matt Frank “Crimson Trace Lasers”, Jason Spaude “Youth
Shooting”, Virginia (Duncan) Dall “Carry Concealed Handbags.”
Also available that day are demonstrations, clinics, sales, and fun. FREE food will be served from
11am – 1pm (while supplies last). FREE ice cream from 1pm – 2pm. Roaming that day will be
Duncan's newest mascot “Gage,” son of Duck Dynasty's champion retriever poodle “Cooper.” Also
roaming about may be “Jake” who is the 11th Master Hunter retriever poodle in the United States, and
who recently beat “Cooper” in competition.
Local businesses actively supporting, and participating in, Duncan's “Giving Back to the Community”

About Duncan's Outdoor Shop, Inc.
Duncan's Outdoor Shop was started in the early 1950's, and licensed in 1960, as an archery and gun
business in Saginaw, MI by Charles & Patricia Duncan and was run out of their home. When the
business grew they moved it into the 1,000 square feet of space in the upstairs apartment. Their son,
Glenn Duncan, acquired ownership in 1993, and moved Duncan's Outdoor Shop, Inc. to Bay City, MI
and added the pistol range. Duncan's Outdoor Shop, Inc. now consists of a retail shop; gun repair area;
a ten-position pistol range; a five-position air rifle/archery range; two 50-yard, (one) one 100 yard and
one 200 yard indoor rifle ranges; along with a classroom/safe and sales area. Education and shooting
leagues are available, including after school and junior's programs. Duncan’s also offer classes for
every level of shooter from beginner to Olympic hopeful; and ranging from self-defense to hunting.
