Central Alberta Hereford Club On Line Supremacy Sale
Sale Starts Sunday December 5, 2010 at 5:00pm (MST)
Sale closes Tuesday December 7th at 7:00pm (MST)
The 17th annual Central Alberta Hereford Club Supremacy Sale will be an on line sale this year
with the sale opening on Sunday December 5, 2010 and closing December 7th, 2010 at 7:00 pm.
This consignment sale is organized by the Central Alberta Hereford Club and is open to entries of
bred heifers, bull calves and heifer calves.
Rules and Regulations
1. Eligibility – Eligible cattle include horned and polled: Purebred Hereford - bred heifers,
heifer calves and bull calves. Bull calf entries may be subject to a selection process by the
Supremacy Sale Committee.
2. Cattle – each animal must have a CCIA tag or button tag visible in ear
3. Entry Fees – Entry fee is$75.00 per entry. Entry fees are non-refundable for canceled
entries or no–sale. Committee has the right to limit entries. We want the catalogue on
line by November 20, 2010 prior to Agribition – people will have the ability to
communicate about the sale cattle and market their offerings.
4. Health Requirements – Health certificates are not required. Consignors may obtain these
at their own discretion.
5. Catalogue - Consignors should include footnotes with entries giving exposure dates on
bred females and other pertinent information such as performance, retained interests, etc.
Maximum footnote length will be set at 90 words. The sales committee reserves the right
to edit or limit footnotes. Consignors are REQUIRED to EMAIL pictures video are
encouraged but not required, with each animal entered – no extra cost is charged – sire
and dam pictures are also welcome. The catalogue will be available on line hopefully by
November 20th, 2010 but if you have a buyer who wishes a catalogue, you can print one
from the website.
6. Sale Order - Heifers will be sold using the 2010 Calgary Bull Sale order. Entries will be
catalogued and sold in four alphabetical groups: A - E, F - L, M - R, and S - Z. These
groups rotate annually, by moving the group selling first in a given year, to the end the
following year. Further, the letters in each of the four groups also rotate annually by
moving the letter appearing last in a given year, to the beginning the following year. The
following will be treated as one letter: IJK, PQ, UV, and XYZ. In 2010 the entries will be
catalogued and sold in the following order: (M, N, O, PQ, R), (T, UV, W, XYZ, S) (A, B, C,
D, E) AND (F, G, H, IJK, L).
7. Entry Closing Date- Entries close November 8th, 2010 – no exceptions. Completed
entry forms must be accompanied by entry fee payment; copy of pedigree with certificates
of service and copy of DNA for sire. If registration forms are not yet available for young
calves, registered name and registration number of Dam and Sire must accompany sale
entry form along with the actual name the calf will be registered – no changes.
8. Commission – There will be no commission the only charge is the entry fee.
9. Membership Fee - If you have not paid The Central Alberta Hereford Club annual
membership fee of $10.00 for 2010 membership year, it must be paid to enter cattle in the
sale. You must be a member of the Central Club to sell at the Supremacy sale.
10. Upset price – It is necessary to have a start bid for each lot – consigners will be
required to set the start bid – if no start bid is allocated, one will be set by the club.
