Installing Delta4
General
For successful installation of Delta4 some preparatory work must be done. Make sure that the
preparations are completed in a timely manner before starting the Delta4 installation to avoid any
unwanted delay and downtime during the Delta4 installation.
Please complete this form when ready with the preparations and send it back to ScandiDos AB.
Prior to an installation
Prepare the installation as described in the “Preparatory Work” chapter. Detailed information is found
in the Delta4 online help. Please insert the Delta4 installation CD ROM and select “Read Manual”.

Treatment Planning
System
The trig signal is available and correct.
An IMRT treatment plan and a four-field plan has been created. The
plans have been saved in DICOM RT Plan format.
Dose plans have been calculated for the Delta4 phantom using the
above treatment plans. The plans have been saved in DICOM RT Dose
format (Pinnacle users may use RTOG format alternatively).
Treatment plans and dose plans have been copied to a folder accessible
by all intended Delta4 computers and users.
The Delta4 PC is according to the requirements.
An absolute dosimetry system is available (calibrated Farmer chamber
with cone shaped tip + field class or reference class electrometer).

During Installation
The installation consists out of the following parts:



Phase 1: Installation and configuration of Delta4 on one PC
Phase 2: Calibration of Delta4 for one accelerator
Phase 3: Measurement of a patient specific treatment plan.

The complete installation will take about one working day (typically between 12 noon and 10PM)
provided that the above equipment and recourses are available and the preparatory work had been
carried out successfully.
R&V System
If the Delta4 system is to be connected with a Treatment control system (Record&Verify System) the
following is needed in addition to the above:
 In-house-expert: R&V + Linac Control System
 Local Network Administrator
 4 hours extra time with full access to the treatment control system
Moreover the treatment control system must have been prepared. Please contact us for more
information.
