(It is NOT necessary to attach University of Sydney transcripts).

Bates Smart Prize

BATES SMART PRIZE FOR ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN
Established in 2006 with an annual donation by Bates Smart Pty Ltd to promote excellence in
architectural design. The prize will be awarded annually on the recommendation of a committee of up
to two representatives from the Faculty of Architecture, with expertise in architectural design and up to
two representatives from Bates Smart. The award will be made to a full time student who has
completed two or three semesters of the Bachelor of Architecture, on the basis of academic merit in
the core architectural design studios, submission of a portfolio and interview. The winner must enrol to
complete the degree in the following year. The prize may be shared. Value: $2000. Tenure: 1 year.
