Test Area
Test a minimum 4 ft. by 4 ft. area on each type of masonry. Use the manufacturer’s application
instructions. Let test area protective treatment cure before inspection. Keep test panels available
for comparison throughout the protective treatment project.

Product Description
Sure Klean® Weather Seal Natural Stone Treatment WB is an odorless, water-based solution of
potassium methyl siliconate developed to economically treat a wide range of natural stone
and masonry surfaces and provide long-lasting repellency.
Natural Stone Treatment WB is used as a surface treatment on natural stone and masonry
surfaces to impart a water-repellent surface and reduce water absorption into the substrate.

Limitations
 Not eligible for an extended warranty.
 May damage glass or be difficult to remove. Always protect.
 Over application may result in difficult-to-remove white residue.
 Surface and air temperatures should be above 40 degrees F and below 85 degrees F.
Application should be avoided on extremely windy days to avoid rapid evaporation of the
water carrier.
 Not recommended for dark, dense substrates.
 Not recommended for polished or glazed surfaces.
 Not recommended for below-grade application.
 Will not prevent water penetration through structural cracks, defects or open joints.

Application
Before applying, read “Preparation” and “Safety Information” sections in the Manufacturer’s
Product Data Sheet for Weather Seal Natural Stone Treatment WB. Refer to the Product Data
Sheet for additional information about application of Weather Seal Natural Stone Treatment WB.
Do not dilute or alter.
SPECIFIER NOTE: Over application may produce a white film after thoroughly drying. This
indicates the product has been applied too heavily. Retest using higher coverage rates. Increased
coverage rates normally prevent white films or crusts.
Vertical Application
Spray
1. Using low-pressure (<50 psi) spray equipment, apply Natural Stone Treatment WB in a
thin single saturating coat to a thoroughly dry surface.
2. When spraying, saturate from the bottom up. Use enough to create a 4" to 6" rundown
below the spray contact point.
Brush: Minimize overlap. Saturate the surface. Brush out heavy runs and drips that do
not penetrate
Porous Surfaces: Let the first application penetrate the masonry surface. Re-saturate
within 5 to 10 minutes. Less material will be required on the second application.
Dense Surfaces: Saturate in a single application with no rundown. Back roll any runs or
drops to ensure uniform appearance. One application is usually enough.
Horizontal Application Instructions
1. Apply a single, saturating coat so that the surface stays wet for a few minutes.
2. Thoroughly broom out any pools or puddles that do not completely penetrate the
surface. Do not let puddles stay on surface.
Drying Time: Protect treated surfaces from rain and pedestrian traffic for 4 to 6 hours after
application.
Cleanup: clean equipment and over spray with soap and warm water.
