CLEP College Level Examination Program Bemidji State University NOTE: CLEP information available at: http://www.collegeboard.com/clep/ CLEP is offered as a computer-based test in the United States Two forms of ID are required to test. A government-issued ID which includes your photo AND signature (driver’s license or passport), as well as a secondary ID which has either a photo or a signature. See the College Board website for acceptable identification. CLEP credits do not count towards GPA or financial aid requirements. To receive credit for College Writing I and II at BSU, there are additional essay requirements. Please contact the Registrar at Oak Hills and Northland Community Technical College regarding their requirements. To Register for a CLEP Test The CLEP test is scheduled on an individual basis on Mondays or Thursday mornings. Schedule a test date by calling Deb in the Career Services office at 218-755-2038. For BSU credit, cost is a total of $97 currently and $102 after July 1, 2010 as follows: $72 ($77 as of July 1, 2010) payable to CLEP using Visa, Mastercard, Discover, check or money order, PLUS $25 payable to BSU. Payment is required at the time of testing. Please allow a 2 ½ hour time block for the test, which includes time to complete forms, etc. TEST Content information The Computer-Based Testing Center in Sanford Hall 111 has study guides available to check out for a $40 security deposit. The guides are checked out for a two-week time period. The CLEP website http://www.collegeboard.com/student/testing/clep/about.html includes exam descriptions, a CLEP Sampler practice download and also subject study guides. Score sheets and transcripts Students will be provided with a copy if their score report after their testing is completed. BSU student transcripts will include the name of the test and the credits granted. Actual CLEP scores are NOT listed. If an institution other than BSU will be requested to accept CLEP credits transferred from BSU, it is the student’s responsibility to contact the institution and ask them to accept CLEP credits taken at BSU.
