Picking up our community with charitable giving Our mission is to help meet the needs of the communities we serve by supporting organizations that improve overall quality of life; specifically in areas of youth, education, elderly and the environment. Waste Connections also proudly sponsors events that enhance the vitality of our neighborhoods, celebrates our community’s successes and supports local charities. Waste Connections of SW Washington receives hundreds of requests for donations annually. In order to ensure donations are consistent with our mission and that all requests are given a fair review, Waste Connections will consider requests for charitable donations from organizations that qualify for funding or in-kind services. To qualify for donations or in-kind service, your event must be open to the public. Priority will be given to 501(C)(3) organizations, local governments, and events that closely align with the charitable giving mission statement.
