Horses in a closed herd that are not frequently exposed to other horses through travel, horse shows, etc. fall into this category. The program is typically completed in two visits with a veterinarian performing physical and dental examinations of your horse along with the included immunizations and internal parasite management. A physical exam is one of the most important diagnostic tools your veterinarian utilizes to determine the health of your horse. At both visits the veterinarian will make specific recommendations based on the examination findings and your horse’s needs. Additional discounted services are good for one year from the date of enrollment. Gold—$554 This advanced health program is for horses with more frequent contact with other horses through boarding, travel or competition. The program is typically completed in three visits with a veterinarian performing physical and dental examinations of your horse along with the included immunizations and internal parasite management during two of the visits. A physical exam is one of the most important diagnostic tools your veterinarian utilizes to determine the health of your horse. During these visits the veterinarian will make specific recommendations based on the examination findings and your horse’s needs. Routine dental care is also an important part of every horse’s well-being. This program also includes routine dental equilibration (float) and sedation along with a detailed oral exam using visual dentistry technique to assess your horse’s teeth and entire mouth. A dental report card will be provided to allow discussion of exam findings with your veterinarian. If any dental problems, such as loose or fractured teeth, are identified the additional treatment for these problems are not included in the wellness program and will incur additional charges. Additional discounted services are good for one year from the date of enrollment.
